Wastewater Applications

Case Stories

After more than 30 years use in municipal and industrial sewer applications, polyethylene pipe has proven to be a reliable, long-term solution for sewer and wastewater systems.

High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipe offers resistance to corrosion, abrasions and chemicals with durability, strength and cost-effective installation. KWH Pipe provides both large diameter corrugated Weholite® pipe and solid wall Sclairpipe® pipe for sewer applications such as:

  • Forced Sewer Mains
  • Pipeline Rehabilitation or Trenchless Pipeline Replacement
  • Combined Storm and Sanitary Sewer Lines
  • Sludge Lines
  • Intake and Outfall Lines

HDPE pipe has distinct advantages over other pipe materials. Flexibility and leak-free joints solve many unique problems that rigid concrete, PVC or ductile iron pipes can’t. Plastic pipe uses heat-fused joints that are as strong, or stronger, than the pipe itself. Its resistance to abrasion, chemicals and fatigue make it a lasting solution. Inflow and infiltration is totally eliminated in wet weather conditions on gravity flow systems. HDPE pipe is extremely flexible and does not corrode or tuberculate over time.

Both Weholite® and Sclairpipe® are lightweight, easy-to-install, and can save considerable time and money in the long run.
